KEVIN O'SHAUGHNESSY / Owner & Head Instructor

Kevin’s dad, Michael O’Shaughnessy, former Army captain and Army pistol team lead, was the first to introduce Kevin to the enjoyment of shooting. Many Saturday afternoons were spent at the shooting range learning shooting safety, techniques and accuracy. Many Sunday afternoons were spent around the family dinner table discussing the U.S. Constitution, its meaning and implications for citizens.

Kevin grew to believe that anyone who is interested, willing to learn, and disciplined to practice can learn safe gun handling, the enjoyment of shooting sports, defensive use of firearms, as well as the constitutional implications of firearm ownership.

Lin Kossak-Kurkowski is proud to be a part of the team that makes up Reliance Tactical. As a late teen back in South Jersey, she started off firing shotguns in the woods with a group of experienced tactical friends and has been hooked ever since.

In 2020, Lin met Reliance owner and trainer, Kevin O’Shaughnessy, who quickly became a friend and brother. She began training with Reliance, and has taken every available class.

For Lin, being on the range gives her a sense of confidence, freedom, independence, safety and calm. Every time on the range adds to her education on the foundation, rules, laws, safety, and tactical training. She is passionate about seeing every firearms owner share in that education.

Since 2001, Lin has also maintained her professional career as an account specialist and assisted with property management at DSM Commercial, and she also manages social media for NoWallsChurch. She is also the proud mom of her daughter, London and son, Rocklyn.

Russell Cooper is a retired Department of Defense employee. He has taken numerous classes with Reliance Tactical, and has since become a Reliance Tactical range assistant. He is a valued member of our team, and we love having Russell as a member of the Reliance Tactical family.

AVA KOSSAK / Sponsoree

Ava Kossak graduated in 2023 with honors from Wilmington Christian School in Wilmington, Delaware. Ava is a Reliance alumni who has taken Basic Pistol, Advanced Pistol, Defensive Rifle, and Delaware Concealed Carry classes, as well as participated in Home Defense Staging sessions.

She is currently an accounting student at Liberty University. Reliance Tactical is pleased to sponsor Ava as a member of the Liberty University Air Pistol Team. She was previously the sole freshman member of the Liberty University Action Shooting Sports Team.
